A 7,500-square-foot rain garden is being planted by volunteers along the eastern edge of Taylor Park.

The garden will interrupt the flow of stromwater from Church Street, giving it time to sink into the ground. “You go out to the lake … and you’ll see why we’re doing this,” said Jeff Young, the Ward 4 alderman.
