SWANTON/BARRE — Frank Jeffrey Dean passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, March 11, 2015, shortly after arrival at the Central Vermont Hospital. Born in Barton, Vt., on May 12, 1951, he was the son of James C. and Katherine (Thompson) Dean. Frank was 63 years old.

Frank was employed for many years as a welder at Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant in Arizona.  He was an outstanding father, husband, son, brother and friend who enjoyed hunting, camping, prospecting and fabricating. Frank touched many lives over the years and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his parents, James and Katherine Dean of Swanton; his son, Benjamin and his daughter, Cindy Lee Drury, and their mother, Nancy Mary-Lee Dean, all of Arizona; his siblings, James T. Dean and wife, Eleanor, of Sheldon, Donna Urie, and husband, Gary, of Troy, Vt., Bill Dean and wife, Rita, of Swanton and Scott Dean and his wife, Jori, also of Swanton, as well as many nieces, nephews, special caregivers and old friends.

A private service was held for the family at the Heald Funeral Home in St. Albans. There will be a gathering in Tonopah, Arizona celebrating Frank’s life after which his remains will be scattered on the land that he loved so much.  Messages of condolence to Frank’s family are welcome at www.healdfuneralhome.com.
