FAIRFIELD — A woman drove her car into a building on West Street here late last night.
According to Vermont State Police, Katelyn Thompson, 26, of Fairfield, drove into the building at approximately 11 p.m.
She was transported to Northwestern Medical Center, where she was treated and released into police custody. Police then took her to the St. Albans barracks on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Thompson has been cited to appear in Franklin County Superior Criminal Court on June 30 for a charge of driving under the influence.
The building is part of a dairy farm owned by Danny and Helen Branon. The former dairy barn is currently used as a repair shop by their son, Gene Branon, who operates the farm and owns Branon Custom Cut.
