ST. ALBANS — Mrs. Elizabeth J. (Betty) Rix, age 57, died Jan. 17, 2015, at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She was born in Concord, N.H., on Sept. 2, 1956, daughter of the late Danforth Ellington and Pauline Eyvette (Gonyea) Rix. After graduation from high school, she attended Community College, studying Medical Terminology and Assisting. She worked for the Franklin County Home Health Agency as a caregiver for many. Betty enjoyed collecting Betty Boop, having barbecues, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her daughters Tressa Boomhower and her husband, Allan, of St. Albans, Barb Dunakin and her husband, Harold, of Franklin, her son Gary Rix and his companion, Eryca Therrien, of St. Albans, 10 grandchildren, and her sister Linda DeCell and her husband, Earl, of Cardova, Tenn. Betty was predeceased by parents, her brothers Michael and Thomas Rix, her significant other of many years, George Austin III, and his son George Austin IV.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Chapel. The family will receive condolences at the funeral home, from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday.
