ST. ALBANS/BELOEIL, QUEBEC — On Sept. 27, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Albans, Roxanne Douville and David Handy were united in marriage. Roxanne is the daughter of Chantal Gendron and Patrick Douville of Beloeil, Quebec, and David is the son of David and Carrie Handy of St. Albans.
Laurence Lapierre-Dubuc was the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Aube Racine, Megan Dalbec, Klara Myren and Anne-Sophie Gendreau. Joseph Handy was Best Man. Groomsmen were Larry Lastra, Adam Luneau, Peter Manahan and Josh Corrigan. Manille Charbonneau was Flower Girl and Calvin Corkrum was Ringbearer.
The Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Rev. Brian J. O’Donnell, combining English, French and Latin prayers and music. Musicians were Dr. William Tortolano, Music Director for St. Mary’s, as organist; Joseph Handy on trumpet, Frank Mehaffey on trombone, and Claire Hungerford as cantor/soloist. Readers were Emma Handy and Vincent Douville, and gifts were presented by Natalie and Samuel Handy. Zachary and Veronica Farr were altar servers.
The reception was held at Jay Peak Resort in Montgomery.
David is a 2011 graduate of the University of Vermont, and Roxanne is a 2014 graduate of the University of Vermont. The newlyweds reside in Highgate and are employed at Handy Buick-GMC-Cadillac in St. Albans.
