ST. ALBANS — Corrine E. Braley, 83, a former longtime resident of St. Albans, passed away, Tuesday, June 16, 2015, surrounded by her extended family and friends at the home of her caregiver, Ann Phillips, in North Troy.
Corrine was born April 9, 1932, in Sheldon, daughter of the late Henry A. and Alice (Ward) Martin. In 1997, she married George E. Braley, who passed away on Jan. 30, 2003.
She resided at the Brandon Training School for 27 years. In recent years she had been associated with Northwestern Counseling and Support Services. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, enjoyed Gospel music, fellowship and the company of others. Corrine enjoyed the sunshine, “Junior Mints” and lemon pie.
She was the 9th of 10 children who are believed to have all pre-deceased her. She may leave some nieces, nephews and cousins. She leaves her church family, her care giver, Ann Phillips and her husband, Ray, and helpful friend, Joel.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main Street, St. Albans from 3 p.m. until hour of service at 4 p.m. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
