The Colonial Cafeteria & Grill occupied the space many of you will remember later as the Blue Lion Restaurant. It is now office space just north of Jeff ’s Restaurant, which in the future would be at the right under the lower awning.

The Colonial supported a baseball team called Wry’s Colonials, as you can see painted on the side of the team bus. This photograph comes to us from Terry Fitzgerald, whose father painted the lettering on the bus. He was a local commercial artist who painted signs, vehicles and lettering on buildings.

If you have any additional photographs or information about the Colonial Grill or the Colonial baseball team, of which we know very little, please call the St. Albans Museum at 527-7933 or contact them via stamuseum.org.
