ST. ALBANS – Claude J. Boudreau, a lifelong area resident passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at the Holiday House Residential Care Home with his loving family at his side.

Born in Highgate on, June 11, 1933, he was the son of the late Eugene and Maria (Fournier) Boudreau. Claude was 82 years old.

On May 5, 1956, in Pike River, Quebec, he married Cecile Duquette, and lived on the family farm in Highgate until he moved his family to St. Albans.

Claude served in the Vermont Army National Guard and then later was employed for many years at the Fonda Container Corp. He was a member of Green Mountain Post # 1, American Legion, Robert E. Glidden Post 758, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a communicant of Holy Angels Parish. He enjoyed gardening, but most of all, he enjoyed his family.

Survivors include his children, Pauline Fadden and partner, Skip Truman, of Lebanon, N.H., Denise and Paul Perkins, of Strafford, Vt., Solange and Chuck Harvey of Burlington, Marie Boudreau of St. Albans, Daniel and Jennifer Boudreau of St. Albans and Bernie and Gwen Boudreau of St. Albans. He was fondly named “Super Papa” by his beloved grandchildren, Ashley (Harvey) Lanoue and her husband, Ryan, Liza Boudreau and companion, Nic Boyle, Erin Harvey, Corey Boudreau, Joshua Fadden, Madeleine Boudreau-Perkins, Seth Boudreau, Mariah Boudreau, Max Boudreau-Perkins and Cole and Benjamin Boudreau.

Claude is also survived by his sister, Sister Frances Boudreau of Clarence, N.Y. and his brother, Rosaire Boudreau and his wife, Jackie of Swanton and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cecile, in 1996 and his daughter, Helene, in 1986.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 246 Lake St. Interment will follow in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
