ST. ALBANS – Cassandra Marie ‘Cassie’ Viens a longtime area resident passed away unexpectedly early, Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born in East Ridge, Tenn. on April 26, 1996, the daughter of Richard and Tracy (Figueredo) Viens. Cassie was 20 years old.

Cassie was a 2014 graduate of Bellows Free Academy and was attending Community College of Vermont at the time of her passing.

She is survived by her parents, Rick and Tracy of St. Albans, her sister, Maya, of St. Albans and her grandparents, Claire Viens and Darrell and Kay Figueredo. Cassie is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Cassie’s Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at 4 p.m. at the Northside Baptist Church, 1321 Fairfax Road, St. Albans. Pastor Bruce Patterson will officiate. Her family will receive friends following the service at a reception hosted by the church family.

Cassie was a wonderful person who was loved by all who met her. She could put a smile on anyone’s face. She will be dearly missed.
