Librarian Liza Comiskey shows one of the 35 gowns that the Highgate Public Library has collected so far for area high school girls to wear to their proms. In its fourth year, the Cailey’s Closet prom dress donation program has provided 80 dresses for families that would not have been able to afford the special dresses otherwise. Donations of prom, bridesmaid or cocktail dresses and accessories  are being accepted until April 11 and they are available on a first come first served basis for local students. Comiskey said cash donations are accepted too and used for such things as helping for tux rentals for boys. This year’s goal is to have 60 outfits by April 11.
