ST. ALBANS — Caroline Winanna Bright and Dillon Robert Hupp exchanged marriage vows at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, in First Congregational Church of St. Albans. The Rev. Judy Kennedy officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Jennifer Neville Bright of Franklin, and Paula and Thomas Bright of South Burlington. She is the granddaughter of Anna and the late David Neville of Georgia, and Emily and Bill Bright of Virgil, Ontario, Canada.

Parents of the groom are Laura Hood Hupp of Sherwood, Arkansas and Clea and Bob Hupp of Little Rock, Arkansas. His grandparents are the late Martha and Robert Hupp of Laurel, Delaware, the late Dr. Peter M. Hood of La Jolla, California, and Audrey and Larry Weitzman of New York.

The bride wore a sleeveless silk and lace A-line gown originally worn by her mother, Jennifer, on the occasion of her wedding to Caroline’s father.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Hannah Taylor of St. Albans and Ashley Sandy of South Burlington. Bridesmaids were Samantha Martell of Georgia; Ann-Blair Thornton of Bowling Green, KY; Julia Sprague of Watertown, NY; and Jeanelle Achee of Rochester, VT.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Maryanna Barkas of Toronto, cousin of the bride, and Ian Cowperthwait Bright of Franklin, brother of the bride.

The groom’s honor attendants were Billy Hupp and Spencer Hupp of Little Rock, brothers of the groom. Groomsmen were Sebastian Damberg-Ott of London; Neil Danner of Hot Springs, S.D.; Farhan Syed of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Armaan Sarkar of San Francisco and New Dehli, India.

A reception at the St. Albans Historical Museum followed the ceremony. Tables were decorated with red gingham table runners on white tablecloths and centered with flowers by Creative Muse Floral Design. Music was by the Green Mountain Swing Band and Top Hat DJ. Assisting was Maddy Smith.

The bride attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, and Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, VT, where she studied Political Science, Religious Studies and History. She is a corporations services clerk in the office of the Vermont Secretary of State.

The groom is a graduate of Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT, and has a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies. He is employed as the Chief Aide to the Chair of the Arkansas Democratic Party.

The couple honeymooned on the coast of Maine and divide their time between Georgia, VT, and Little Rock, Arkansas.
