Three Saturday showdowns between BFA-St. Albans and Essex all helped BFA teams improve their playoff position. The Bobwhites won a hockey battle between two teams jockeying for the second seed — and home ice for a potential semifinal playoff game, after the No. 1 Hornet and No. 2 Comet girls skated to a scoreless tie. The draw kept BFA more than one win ahead of No. 3 Spaulding with less than two weeks remaining in the regular season. On the basketball court, the BFA girls moved past Essex and into eighth place — the last spot earning a home playoff opener — with their dramatic win over the Hornets.

It is impressive that the Comets continue to mine these stellar goalies, as evidenced by Ms. Nadeau posting six shutouts this season. However, this headline speaks to three showdowns and all we have confusing information on is two of them, or at least I think it’s only two due to the confusing grammar above.
