ST. ALBANS — Mrs. Aline M. Cyr, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep to be with her beloved husband Roland Friday morning June 24, 2016, at the Birchwood Terrace Nursing Facility. She was born in Swanton, April 17, 1924 daughter of the late Henri and Rosealda (Thibert) Bombardier. She was a communicant of Holy Angels Church. She was always at home for all her family and many neighborhood children of all ages and will be remembered for her many acts of charity to others. Children were the center of her world. She was especially proud of her three boys, their spouses and her grandchildren. She also loved the outdoors, was known for her beautiful flowers surrounding her house and home, biking and walking.
She married Roland L. Cyr, Sept. 1, 1947, who predeceased her on May 31, 2014. She is survived by her sons, Maurice and wife, Norma Cyr, Réal and wife, Alicia Cyr; a daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Brosseau-Cyr, all of St. Albans; grandchildren Jason and wife, Heather Cyr, Caitlyn and husband, Parks Pearce, and Julianne Cyr and her fiancé, Hunter Routten; three great-grandchildren, Esmé and Lincoln Cyr and Charlize Pearce. Aline also leaves her brothers and spouses Armand and Ginny Bombardier of Milford, Conn., Leo and Joan Bombardier of Clinton, Conn.; sisters Alma Deslauriers of Jericho and Rose and Stanley Wilbur of Pineville, LA; sister-in-law Marion Bombardier of St. Albans, and a very special sister-in-law, Ruth Bombardier of Milton, who helped with Aline’s care. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her eldest son, Ronald Cyr, her sister, Alice Perras, her brothers, Albert, Alcide, Rene, and Emile Bombardier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Interment will follow in the Cyr family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
