ST. ALBANS — Mrs. Alice M. Roy, age 99, died Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the St. Albans Health and Rehab Center. She was born May 3, 1915, in Gibbstown, N.J., daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Markinton) Tudis. Alice spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was an actress and dancer for many years. She was a very devout catholic, and a parishioner at many Roman Catholic Churches throughout her life.
Alice is survived by her children Mary Ann Fay of Riverton, N.J., Thomas Fay of Pennsville, N.J., and Sharon Iszak and her husband, Jeffry, of Fairfax, Vt., two grandchildren Jim Shea and Wendi Fay, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands, Thomas Fay and Ephraim Roy, two sisters Catherine Sands and Mildred Shropshire, and a brother Joseph Tudis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass, in the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, N.J. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Masses, or to the Franklin County Rite To Life, 60 Village View, Fairfax, VT 05454.
