ST. ALBANS — Alice Jean Perras, 91, died peacefully, Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at her home in St. Albans.
She was greatly loved and will be very much missed. Alice was born on Feb. 27, 1923 in Swanton, the daughter of Henri and Rose (Thibert) Bombardier. She married Gerard Perras of St. Albans.
She and her husband were the founders and owners of the Homestead Campground in Georgia for many years. She is survived by her children Diane Pomeroy and husband, Bruce, of Meridan, Conn., Fern Matthews and husband, Bill, of Georgia, Ronald Perras and wife, Deborah, of Windsor, Conn., Eugene Perras and wife, Spring, of Franklin, and Michael Perras and wife, Lisa of Phoenix, Ariz., and by 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters and brothers Aline Cyr of St. Albans, Alma DesLauriers of Williston, Armand Bombardier and wife, Virginia, of Milford, Conn., Rose Wilbur and husband, Stanley, of Louisiana, and her brother Leo Bombardier and wife, Joan, of Connecticut, and her sister in law Ruth Bombardier of Milton.
Alice was predeceased by her husband, Gerard, in 1997, her daughter Danielle Jackson in January of 2015, and her four brothers.
