ADELE M. EIDE, 83, of Burlington, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Randolph.

She was born April 19, 1932 in Brooklyn, N.Y.; the daughter of Daniel J. and Kathryn (Riordan) Rohme.  She was raised in Brooklyn and had lived in Ithaca, N.Y., and Englishtown, N.J., before moving to Burlington in 1968. She was married to Stanley Eide in Brooklyn on Nov. 29, 1953.  Adele had worked for Abernathy’s Department Store and Magram’s Department Store in Burlington, and for the Catholic Diocese of Vermont.  She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Burlington and the Burlington Elks Lodge.

Survivors include her daughter, Robin Goodall and husband, Rick of Randolph; son, Christopher Gerard Eide and wife, Diana of Georgia, Vt.; four grandchildren, Kelsey Hayden of Burlington, Brendan Goodall of Essex Junction, Christopher Eide of So. Burlington, and Stephanie Eide of Athens, Ga.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 1st, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Burlington, with burial following at Resurrection Park Catholic Cemetery in South Burlington.  There are no calling hours.  Contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurses & Hospice of VT & NH, P.O.
