ST. ALBANS — On June 7, 2014, family and friends gathered to celebrate while Abigail Adams and Tyler Donzé were united in marriage. The ceremony was held at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Albans, officiated by Father Maurice E. Roy, followed by a sun-filled reception at the Champlain Country Club. Abi and Tyler’s wedding cake was made and decorated by West Meadow Farm Bakery, in Essex Junction, VT, owned by the brides Aunt, Lois Blaisdell.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Alisha Adams of St. Albans. Her beautiful, one of a kind, wedding dress was designed and made by her Aunt, Deborah Grandshaw of Enosburg. The groom is the son of Pierre and Vicki Donzé of Cambridge, Vt.
The maid of honor was Alizabeth Adams, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Adianna Adams, sister of the bride; Emily Seguin, cousin of the bride; Olivia Dunsmore, Kate Morris and Jessica Rocque, best friends of the bride.
The best man was Trevor Broderick, cousin of the groom. The groomsmen were Chadwick and Zachary Donzé, brothers of the groom; Michael Adams, brother of the bride; Ross Seguin, cousin of the bride; and Joshua Riley, friend of the groom.
Their ring Bearer was Matthew Adams, brother of the bride, carrying a special pillow made from Mere’s (grandmother of the groom’s) wedding dress.
Abi and Tyler spent their romantic honeymoon visiting three resorts in Aruba, sampling the best beaches in the world.
The couple met at Castleton State College, where the groom was the roommate of the bride’s cousin, Ross Seguin. Tyler graduated in 2014, with a Master’s Degree in Accounting and will begin his auditing career at Saslow Lufkin & Buggy, LLP in Burlington, VT this fall, while Abi remains at Castleton to earn her Master’s Degree in Accounting, where she will work as a part-time accountant at JNH Environmental Services, Inc.
