L’Esperance 50th Anniversary

    Armand and Betty L'Esperance celebrated their 50th anniversary on Dec. 28, 2007. They were married Dec. 28, 1958, at Holy Angels Church in
St. Albans.
    A dinner was held at The Old Foundry in St. Albans hosted by their children, Mike & Terri L'Esperance, Jeff & Lisa L'Esperance, Cheri
L'Esperance, and their grandchildren, Cody, Camden, Mallery, Allison and Chandler.  
    Betty and Armand, both retired, reside in Swanton.







Boomhover - Virzi

    ST. ALBANS - Judith L. Boomhover, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Maurice Desrochers, and the late Robert Boomhover, and David H. Virzi, the son of the late Dave & Charlotte Virzi, were united in marriage on Aug. 18, 2007, at Holy Angels Church with Father Maurice Roy officiating.
    The Matron of Honor was Debbie Boomhover, sister-in-law of the bride. The bridesmaids were Abbigail Boomhover, Brooke-Ann Boomhover and Taylor Boomhover, all nieces of the bride.  The flower girl was Vanessa Gadue, step-niece of the bride. The bridesmaid dresses were lavender sundresses with matching headbands and were made  by Jill Boomhover, sister-in-law of the bride.
    The Best Man was John Boomhover, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Vernon Boomhover, brother of the bride, and Roland Labounty, friend of the groom. The tuxes were black with silver vests.
    The bride was given away by Jim Boomhover, brother of the bride, and her mom.
    The readings were given by Martha Workman, friend of the bride and groom, and Claire Labounty, friend of the bride and groom. The gifts were brought to the alter by Ben Boomhover, nephew of the bride, and Alyson Gadue, step-niece of the bride.
    The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall with Claire Menard providing the catering and Bobby C providing the music.  Ed and Becky Jones did the photography.
    Mrs. Virzi is a full-time college student at Champlain College and works part-time for the VNA. Mr. Virzi is employed at GE Healthcare in South Burlington.
    The couple left for a trip to Maine.  They make their home in Essex Junction, Vt.






Fortin - Carson

    GEORGIA - Blayke Roland Carson is pleased to announce the engagement of his parents, TracyAnn Fortin to Brett Carson, both of Georgia.
    TracyAnn is a graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union High School, and is currently in her last semester at Johnson State College.
    Brett is a graduate of Bellows Free Academy, and owns his own electrical business, Carson's Electric.
    An Aug. 30, 2008 wedding at their home is planned.






Brosseau – Michel
 
    HIGHGATE - Mandy Sue Brosseau, daughter of Lise & Daniel Brosseau of Highgate, and Tim Michel, son of Linda Galaxcy & stepfather Andrew Galaxcy of Highgate, were united in marriage on Oct. 6, 2007. Father Ben Kiley officiated the double ring ceremony at St. Louis Catholic Church in Highgate.
    Sisters Keeli Brosseau and Debbie Brosseau were co-Maids of Honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Bourbeau, Jessica Noel, and Samantha Daignault, all friends of the bride.
    Co-Best Men were Patrick Treanor and David Ball, best friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Bradley Brosseau, brother of the bride, Merrill Hersey, friend, and Joseph Marshall, friend.
    The wedding was immediately followed by a reception at the Sheldon Casino. Louise Lussier Bashaw was the photographer. Flowers for the ceremony were designed by Flowers by Debbie. The wedding cake was made by Marilyn Marshall of Enosburg. The music was provided by Bob Wagner.
    Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown from David’s Bridal. The groom, groomsmen and bridesmaids’ attire was all from Needleman’s. Aimee Laferrie, of Elite Salon, did the bride’s hair and make-up.
    The bride is a 2004 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union, and is currently employed by Fletcher Allen Health Care, in Burlington.
    The groom is a 2002 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union, and is currently employed by the Local 693 of Burlington.
    The couple took a seven-day vacation to Montego Bay, Jamaica for their honeymoon. They are currently residing in St. Albans, Vt.
