Dickinson - Baynard

    ST. ALBANS - Dr. Richard & Lynn Dickinson of St. Albans are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Putnam Dickinson, to Ernest Cornish Baynard IV, son of Ernest C. Baynard III of Alexandria, Va. & Karen Baynard of New York, N.Y.
    Miss Dickinson is a 1990 graduate of Bellows Free Academy-St. Albans, and a 1994 graduate of Dickinson College, Carlisle, Penn.  She graduated in 2001 from Widener University Law School in Harrisburg, Penn.  She is presently employed as a Senior Director Federal Government Affairs at Comcast Corporation.  She recently left the office of Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R) Texas, where she served as the Legislative Counsel.
    Mr. Baynard is a 1989 graduate of Beverly Hills High School, Beverly Hills, Calif. He is also a 1993 graduate of Tulane University, New Orleans, La. He graduated in 1996 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, Calif.  Mr. Baynard is the President of Meridian Hill Strategies, Inc., a public affairs firm in Washington, DC.  
    A May 2008 wedding is planned.





Paradee - Bruzzi

    SHELDON - Natalie Ann Paradee, daughter of Wynn & Pauline Paradee of Swanton, and John L. Bruzzi, son of John & Janet Bruzzi of New Jersey, were united in marriage on Oct. 13, 2007, at Holy Angels Church in St. Albans. The ceremony was presided over by Father Roy.
    Amber Paradee, sister of the bride, was the Matron of Honor. The bridesmaids were Rachel Gallagher, friend of the bride, and Alexis Kreher, sister of the groom. Isabella Kreher, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
    Derek Rolandini, friend of the groom, was the Best Man. The groomsmen were Cory Lozier, Joey Reuter, and Steve Tober, all friends of the groom.
    The reception was held at the Sheraton of Burlington, and the music was provided by Top Hat Entertainment.
    Natalie is a graduate of Champlain College, and is presently employed as a 2nd grade teacher at Montgomery Elementary School.
    John is a graduate of LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pa., and is presently employed as a Vermont State Trooper.
    John and Natalie celebrated their honeymoon on the island of Aruba.





Brouillette 50th Anniversary

    Richard and Marie Brouillette celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with renewal of their wedding vows with a Mass at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Sheldon Springs, by Rev. Bernard Bechard with six grandchildren taking part.
    They were married Oct. 5, 1957, at St. John the Baptist Church, Enosburg Falls.
    A dinner was served at the Sheldon Casino and an Open House in the afternoon on Oct. 6. Hosted by their children and grandchildren, David & Jerri Brouillette, Abbey, and Matthew was on his way home from Texas (Air Force), Teresa Stebbins & Donnie, children Laura, Eric and Kristine Stebbins, Mary Brouillette, Mark Brouillette & friend Wendy & Katie, Andrew & Susan Brouillette and sons Nathan and Bradley.
    Richard's brother Albert was Master of Ceremonies and was his Best Man and ushers Maurice Brouillette and Clement Lamarche were present, and Marie's Maid of Honor, Ruth Quintin.
    A video of memories of the family was prepared and shown by daughter, Mary.
    Richard, a retired farmer, and Marie, retired Postmaster, have lived all their lives in Sheldon. Richard has served on many farm boards and many years in town offices and at present is still a member of the selectboard. Richard and Marie have been members of the Grange for over 50 years.
    Friends and relatives came from California, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Paris, France, Montreal, Quebec, Florida Virginia and Vermont.





Beckert – Harvey

    COLCHESTER – Miss Danielle A. Beckert, daughter of Peter & Carole Beckert of St. Albans, and Mr. Brian C. Harvey, son of Mark & Patti Harvey of Windham, N.H., were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007.
    The ceremony was performed by Father Marcel Rainville in St. Michael's Chapel in Colchester. The reception was held at Hilton in Burlington.
    The Matron of Honor was Jennifer Arcadipane, aunt of the bride. Bridesmaids were Annie McClelland (aunt of the bride), Holly Beckert (sister-in-law of the bride), and Laura Harvey (sister of the groom).
    The Best Man was David Harvey, brother of the groom. Ushers were Matt Reno (friend of groom), Brian Heidiger (friend of groom), and Jim Hsieh (friend of bride & groom).
    The flower girls were Grace Arcadipane and Sarah McClelland, both cousins of the bride.
    Readings were by: Matthew Beckert (bride’s brother), Joseph Beckert (bride’s brother), Erin Burke (groom’s cousin). Presentations of the Gifts were by: Lori Beresheim (bride’s aunt), Mary Burke (groom’s aunt), Maurice Cormier (bride’s uncle), and Brian Harvey (groom’s uncle). Flowers were done by Kyle Grenier, bride's friend.
    The bride is a 2000 graduate of Bellows Free Academy-St. Albans and a 2004 graduate of St. Michael’s College. She is employed at Pittsfield School District as a 5th grade teacher.
    The groom is a 1999 graduate of Salem High School in Salem, N.H., and a 2003 graduate of St. Michael’s College. He is employed at H&B Homes Inc.
    The newlyweds have made their home in Concord, N.H.
