Six Franklin County baseball and softball teams played semifinals on Tuesday, with half winning and advancing to state championship games. BFA-Fairfax earned a second straight trip to Centennial Field with a 2-1 Division III baseball victory over Peoples Academy. In softball, fourth-seed Missisquoi won its third straight game with Essex — otherwise undefeated the past two seasons — 12-3, and Richford made the drive to Bradford worthwhile with a D-III win over Oxbow, 6-4. MVU will face Mt. Anthony, which ousted BFA-St. Albans 3-2 on Tuesday in Bennington. Richford takes on undefeated No. 1 seed Green Mountain Union, a 10-6 winner over Enosburg in their semifinal Tuesday. BFA-St. Albans was also knocked out in baseball, falling 4-1 to South Burlington at Collins-Perley.
