City Hall’s fate rests on ballots

ST. ALBANS CITY — Voters will weigh in on a proposed $2.3 million renovation of St. Albans City Hall in November. The city council voted unanimously Monday night to put the issue before voters after a lengthy public hearing. The hearing was held after those attending made their way down a side alleyway that is the handicapped access to the building. That problem and others came to the fore during the meeting. Tim’s House walk assists homeless

ST. ALBANS – The Tim’s House annual Walk to End Homelessness, held Sunday in Taylor Park, helped the shelter raise $4,200. Executive Director Linda Ryan was pleased with the turn out. “It was a beautiful day and I thank everyone that participated in the walk and made the day a success,” she added. ST. ALBANS — Cara Maginn is a St. Albans native. She’s 20 years old and is living with her 47-year-old mother, Sara, in her grandmother’s home in town. For most of her life, Cara has been combatting mental health issues, learning disabilities, weight, uneven parenting, poverty, and a feeling of judgment about her bi-racial identity.
