Senior housing back in running for Fonda site

ST. ALBANS CITY — Hope has faded for a co-generation facility producing electricity and heat at the former site of the Fonda/Solo plant on Lower Newton Street.

That was the word Monday night as city manager Dominic Cloud told the city council, "This project does not appear to offer the promise we thought it once did.”
